Student Leadership

We recognise the importance of developing leadership skills in our students.  Year 6 students are involved in leadership roles as School Captains, Sports Leaders, Library Assistants, Wellbeing Ambassadors and Playground Supervisors. Years 5 and 6 students can be Performing Arts Monitors and Visual Arts Monitors. Playground Mentors are in Year 5, Canteen Monitors in Years 4 and 5. Years 3-6 students are involved as Environmental Monitors.

These positions help to develop skills in leadership, organisation, cooperation and developing goals. Students at our school are encouraged to initiate activities and lead school programs.  Our Student Leadership Program is an example of student voice and agency where they are demonstrating our school values of; responsibility, resilience and respect. These students are wonderful role models for the other students enhancing our positive school community.
